February has been a pleasant change after the month of January.  We still had to battle some more illness (Norovirus, double-ear infection for V, colds, teething), but we had so many fun things to look forward to this month, that it kept our spirits up!  An adults-only family trip to Crave and a Timberwolves game in Minneapolis, Kenzie's first birthday party, a separate date day in Minneapolis with just Nick and I, and of course our family vacation to Florida (a separate posting) were among the big highlights.

The first weekend in February, the adults of the Wyffels family were able to get together for a night on the town: Dinner and drinks at Crave restaurant in downtown Minneapolis, and then a Timberwolves game afterward!

Theater is something Nick and I both really enjoy and we used to attend a lot of productions when we lived in Minneapolis and Las Vegas.  So, for our combined birthday/Christmas gifts to each other this year, we invested in season tickets at The Orpheum in Minneapolis.  We have loved having the whole day to enjoy each others company.  We get a babysitter for the girls, talk about anything and everything in the car on the way to the Cities, see the musical production, go someplace nice for dinner, and then enjoy more conversation on the way home.  The productions are OUTSTANDING!  This year Ellie and Grandpa got to see Beauty and the Beast, Nick and his mom got to see Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, and Nick and I have seen Catch Me If You Can and our latest (shown above), Book of Mormon (WHICH WAS HILARIOUS!).  We have two more productions coming up in the next few months and have already purchased our season tickets for the 2013-2014 season as well!
