We've had a lot of fun this summer and here are some photos to prove it!  We have been taking advantage of the hot, humid weather to do some swimming, have a water balloon fight, travel to visit the Aunties and Uncles, spend time at the park, and just have fun!  Enjoy the photos!

Pleasant Ridge Resort Vacation

You gotta love the Fourth of July holiday - it almost always brings a weekend of fun along with it!  And what better way to spend the holiday weekend, than with your family... up north... at a cabin... on the lake... with fireworks!?!  Oh yeah - and it was Nick's and my 9th wedding anniversary as well.  :)  So we packed up the kids and the car and took our first vacation as a family of four to the Park Rapids, MN area and stayed at a small resort called Pleasant Ridge Resort.  We rented a rustic 2-bedroom cabin on the second Crow Wing lake for 3 nights and had a great time.  We spent time down by the lake, went out for a couple afternoons on the pontoon (where both girls always fell asleep), played on the playground, had a campfire, and attended the big Park Rapids fireworks show.  With two kids so young, it was a very busy kind of vacation - not super relaxing for Nick and I, but very fun none-the-less.  We were pleased with ourselves that the vacation went so well, and proud that we are still able to do things like this with two kiddos in tow.  We are looking forward to planning more vacations like this one in the future!

Kandi Dental Center, PA

Nick is the proud new owner of Kandi Dental Center, PA!  Daryl retired back in January, but as of July 1st, Nick is now the official owner!  I am very proud of him in all that he has accomplished and just know that the new business will do well.

With new ownership, comes change and there are lots of new changes happening at the dental office.  The office went digital back in April.  That meant new computers, new digital xray sensors, new charting practices, and lots of new knowledge for all of us to take in! So far, it has been quite a success.  Nick and I are learning to be business owners together.  While I have worked as a receptionist two days a week since September, I am now also learning to do the bookwork from my mother-in-law, who has been very helpful.  That means payroll, lots of tax work, and of course, paying lots of bills!  Wish us luck as we start this new venture!
