Minnesota's Special Olympics Polar Plunge!

On January 29th, Nick, my brothers-in-law Steve and John, and my dad all participated in Minnesota's Special Olympics Polar Plunge event. Their team, "Chief Wyffels' Felons", raised over $1000 in support of the Special Olympics! Then, last Saturday, they donned some pretty awesome outfits and jumped into a frozen lake (Green Lake in Spicer, MN)! They did GREAT and we had a wonderful time watching them (except for Ellie, who fell asleep only 5 minutes before they jumped). Willmar had 313 plungers this year and there were LOTS of supporters there to watch everyone "freezin' for a reason"! The air temp was only 8 degrees during the time of their jump, so they were truly freezing! What a fun event to participate in. We were very proud of all the guys and they all agreed that it was fun and they would do it again. The pressure is on for us girls to participate next year...
