So long San Fran!

Here's the last two days of our trip to San Fran. A tour at the Jelly Belly Factory, sushi at Morimotos in Napa, a great walk on the trail of the Muir Woods, a quick stop at the Golden Gate Bridge (all three of our girls have been on there now!), and our trip home on the plane. Had a good time, but so glad to be back!

San Francisco!

We traveled to San Fran this week so Nick could attend the ADA Dental Convention. We took Victoria and Malin with us while Ellie got to spend the week with both sets of Grandparents. It has most definitely been an interesting trip with an 18 month old and a 3.5 month old. Not exactly a vacation, but it has been a successful trip with some fun memories. We have been to San Fran before, though, and done most of the touristy things, so that wasn't our agenda this time.

I did feel pretty proud of myself after managing to get both girls, the double stroller, and all the groceries/diapers up some incredibly steep hills by myself after a morning out at the park and wandering. And this was on an almost record high day for them! (83 degrees in mid-October). Even after getting back to the vacation rental, I still had to figure out how to get everything and everyone up three flights of stairs by myself (no elevator or ramp!). But I did it! Thankfully our friends, Aeleah and Darren, joined us for part of the time we were in the city, so I had some help maneuvering around the city with the girls while Nick was at the conference. Then with Aeleah there to help me on Friday, we tackled the Science Academy at Golden Gate Park and Victoria had a great time seeing everything there. The fish were her favorite!

On Saturday afternoon after the conference, we headed north to Fairfield where Darren and Aeleah live, and stayed a few days with them. The guys went to a Raiders game, the girls got to do a little outlet shopping, Victoria got to spend some quality time with her godparents, and we all made it to Napa for some sushi at Morimotos.

On tomorrow's agenda: the Muir Woods, pictures of the girls on the Golden Gate Bridge, and our trip back home to MN tomorrow night. I'm ready to see my oldest daughter again, though I'm sure she has had a fun week with all her grandparents!

San Francisco Laundry

Not even 24 hours into this trip and we have already managed to fully dirty more than 1/3 of everything I packed for an entire week! Between Victorias puke (clothes, doll clothes, blankie, and carseat cover), Malins spit up (her clothes, two outfits of mine, and Nicks pants), a toddler who sat on a fresh raspberry (ahem,Victoria), and an exploding bottle of Sprite (my third outfit), I'm starting to think I shouldn't have packed anything and just bought some clothes once we got here. Now it's our first full night here and I'm already going to have to do laundry...

Family Movie Night

Just a relaxing day at home today as a family. Ending the night as a family watching Tinkerbell (Nicks favorite! Ha ha!). Eliana and Victoria have been such great playmates today - good together time!
